Chintakaya Nuvvula Pachadi

Here is a delicous recipe for you guys.  Fresh Chintakaya nuvuula pachadi. I think most of this generation did't know about the taste of fresh chintakayalu/tamarind straight from tamarind tree. I have enjoyed and tasted fresh tamarind taste long back. My senses are still fresh. I will tell you how to taste and enjoy.
Go to others farm or garden without knowing them. Stand below the tree. Throw stones and let Chintakayalu fall down. Pop them and run away. Bhahut maja ayega. Biting tamarind is awesome.

Now come to my yummy yummy and tempting chitakaya nuvvula pachdi. It will make you hungry. Normally we prepare chintakaya nilva pachdi in its season. This is fresh chitakaya nuvvula pachadi is verity and and different in flavor and taste. This is instant pachadi with short cut version. Very simple and easy way.No need of ground masalas.

INGREDIENTS
  • Fresh chntakayalu                           1/4 kg
  • Green chillies                                  12 (make into slices)
  • Salt
  • Sesame seeds powder                    3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder
  • Fresh curry leaves


POPU
  • Mustard seeds
  • Red mirchi                                           2 (tear)
  • Hing
HOW TO PREPARE

  1. Wash chintakayalu couple of times thoroughly.
  2. Pressure cook them till 3 whistles adding little water. Allow them to cool.
  3. Meantime slightly roast the sesame seeds without oil in a pan until they jump.Make it cool and make  powder.
  4. Remove the outer skin and inner seeds of cooled chintakayalu.
  5. Make the the remaining pulp into paste. The constituency should be thick. If want add very little water.
  6. Add sliced green mirchi, salt and turmeric powder to this and cook for 5 minutes. Stir frequently. Switch off the stove.
  7. Finally add sesame powder and mix well. This powder thickens the pachadi and gives taste.
  8. Heat the oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds. Let them crackle. 
  9. Then add red chillies , curry leaves and hing.
  10. Mix well in the pachadi.
  11. Fresh curry leaves, hing and red chillies gives it an aromatic flavor.
      Basically eaten with rice and fabulous with roti, idli ,upma etc.
