Methi Pandiri Chukkudu

Panrichikkudu is a variety of beans, green color and little width in size. This a creeper and seasonal vegetable. I think most of the people know about it.

Ingredients
  • Pandiri chikkudu  ½ kg
  • Menti leaves  handful
  • Onion  1 chopped
  • Green mirchi  2 chopped
  • Til  powder  2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 
  • Salt to taste
  • Popu
  • Mustard seeds  1/8 tbsp
  • Dry red mirchi  1 tear
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil  1 tbsp
How to prepare


  1. Wash pandiri chikkudu and tear two edges and open all chikkudukayalu one by one. Then only you have to cut into pieces.
  2. Cook them by adding little water. They will cook fastly not taking much time to cook.
  3. Keep aside and let it cool.
  4. Take pan,  heat the oil and then add mustard seeds, red chilli, chopped onion, menthi leaves green mirchi and turmeric powder.
  5. Let it fry for some.
  6. Then add boiled chikkudu  and fry for some time by adding salt.
  7. Finally add til powder.
  8. Stir it well.
Serve it with hot rice. Normally It goes tasty as side dish for sambar.
