Methi Channa Kura

We call this dish as PATOLI. Menthi leaves mixed with channa. Easy preparation and tasty. Try at once.

Ingredients
  • Channa dal ¼  cup (100 gms)
  • Menthi leaves 2 handful
  • Mirchi 3 chopped
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Allam vellulipaste 1 tbsn
  • Mirchi powder little
  • Termaric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 3 to 4 tbsn
  • Popu
  • Musterd seeds
  • Dry red chilli 1
  • Curry leaves
How to prepare

  1. Soak channa dal for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Wash and cut menthi leaves
  3. Then grind channa dal coarsely by adding little water and keep it aside.
  4. Take pan add oil. Let it heat on medium flame.
  5. Add mustard seeds. Let them pop.
  6. Then add red chilli, chopped onion, green mirchi, turmeric powder.
  7. Fry them for some time by adding allam velluli paste.
  8. Add menthi leaves and fry for 2 minutes.
  9. Then add grinded channa.
  10. Turn the flame from medium to low.
  11. Stir it well  till the raw smell of the channa goes off.(takes little time ).
  12. Finally add salt and mirchi powder.
  13. Cook it for 2 to 3 minutes.
Serve with chapatti or rice
