Is it raining outside?? Are you feeling cold?? Do want to try something hot to munch along with your tea?? Go for it. Pesara Punukulu is a healthy and a tasty snack. Not many ingredients, little preparation and everybody will love it.
All you need:
- Pesalu 2 cups
- Green Chillies 4
- Ginger 1 inch
- Garlic cloves 2-3
- Jeera 1 tbsp
- Salt according to taste
- Oil to deep fry
How to Prepare:
- Soak 2 cups of the moong dal (Pesalu) for atleast 4-5 hours.
- Wash and blend the dal into a coarse paste. Don't add any water to it. Instead add required salt to it when you are blending.
- Now finely chop green chillies, ginger, garlic cloves and add it to the paste.
- Add 1 tbsp of jeera and mix it well.
- Now take a pan and add oil. Put it on a medium flame. Now make round dumplings out of the mixture and drop them slowly into the oil. Fry them on a medium flame until they turn into a lovely brown colour.
Ready.. Dip them in allam chutney and have them along with a cup of hot tea. Wah bhai Wah.. kya baat hai.. yummy..
