Set Dosa

Today I am blogging with my favorite set dosa.  This is one of the dosa variety. First I have tasted this set dosa in hotel at chikkadapally in Hyderabad. A stack of 3  fluffy, spongy dosas served with good combination of chutney and kurma.3 per plate would be just right for us.

Recently when I went to my sisters friend Madhavi, Advocates house, I have tasted the same yummy  yummy set dosa with combination of coconut chutney. I asked Madhavi about correct measurements and I have prepared  this delicious  set dosa twice in this month. Thank you Madhavi for this yummy yummy recipe.

Ingredients

  • Rice                                   2 cups
  • Sabhudana                      1 cup
  • Poha                                  1 cup
  • Fenugreek seeds           1 tbsp
  • Curd                                   1cup (mix with little water)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

How to prepare

  1. Wash rice, sabhudana and fenugreek sees and then soak them in curd or little thick butter milk for 6 to 7 hours.
  2. Wet poha with little water.
  3. Grind altogether into very soft and thick batter.
  4. Add salt.
  5. Keep for over night for fermentation.
  6. The thickness for the batter should be  as such when poured on the tawa it should be automatically  set itself.
  7. Pre heat tawa. Pour batter. Add 1tbsp oil.
  8. Cook it for roughly 2 minutes on low flame.
  9. Flip into other side also and cook.
  10. It should not be brown.
Serve this with coconut chutney and kurma.
