Kandi Pachadi


Toor Dal Chutney is a famous dish in South India and  it is an Andhra delight.. It is a simple and a very tasty preparation... My daughter's mouth always waters when I speak of Kandi Pachadi :)

Ingredients

  • Toordal         1 cup
  • Dry red mirchi 5 to 7 (adjust according to preference)
  • Zeera ¼ tbsp
  • Grated dry coconut 2 tbsps
  • Tamarand Paste          1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil         ¼ spoon





Preparation
  • Take frying pan with ¼ spoon of  oil. Keep it on the low flame and let the oil heat. Roast the above all ingredients (except salt and tamarind paste) till toor dal turns brown. Keep aside to cool.
  • Grind the cooled content by adding salt, tamarind paste and little water. Make it into smooth paste.
  • Serve with rice , ghee and onion.
