Masala Majjiga

Everyone loves traditional butter milk. Good for health and alternate to aerate drinks and a great treat in summer. With little variation I have prepared this little spiced MASALA BUTTER MILK. During summer it is indeed  a blessing.

Moreover it is inviting and refreshing drink, as most of us having curd in refrigerator.

OK Let us go to prepare delicious masala butter milk.

Ingredients
  • Thick curd                                      1 cup
  • Water                                              2 cups
  • Garlic                                              2 to 3 flakes
  • Mint leaves                                     10
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Pepper powder
  • Salt
How I did it
  1. Take curd in a bowl.
  2. Add little water and salt and churn it with mathu (kavvam).
  3. Heat drop of oil in popu pan and fry garlic for few second.
  4. Crush them with your fingers and add crushed garlic in butter milk.
  5. Finally add pepper powder and fresh lemon juice in it.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Chill for 30 minutes.
  8. At the time serving garnish with mint leaves.
 

Yummy butter milk is ready to serve.

My Note

See the consistency of and add water. It depends on the thickness and sourness of curd.
In summer butter milk can be watery is taste and good.

Digestive problems are often advised to drink butter milk with little mustard seeds.
