Dosakaya Totakura Pullakura

In this recipe I am going to show is an amazing dish that tastes tangy, spicy, sweet and natural dish ie DOSAKAYA AND TOTAKURA PULLAKURA. Dosakaya every one knows about it and we made many dishes like chutney, sambar etc. Amaarnath leaves are one of the commonest greens available in any vegetable shop. We combined both dosakaya and totakura and we will make mouth watering yummy yum pullakura.

Ingredients

Totakura                              2 cups
Dosakaya                             1 medium size
Kasuri menthi                      1 1/2 tbsp
Red mirchi powder              1/8 tbsp
Turmeric powder
Tamarind pulp                     1 tbsp
Jaggery powder                   1/2 tbsp
Oil
Salt to taste

For Popu

Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds
Dry red mirchi                     1
Curry leaves

How I did it




  1. Wash and chop totakura finely and keep aside.
  2. Peel the outer skin of dosakaya, remove seeds and cut into cubes.Take a wok, add little oil, let it heat.
  3. Add mustard seeds. Let them splitter. Add cumin seeds, red mirchi and hing and curry leaves.
  4. Then add dosakaya cubes. Keep lid on the wok.
  5. Let it cook 80%.
  6. Then add chopped totakura. Let it cook for 2 minutes. Add tamarind pulp and jaggery powder, red chiili powder and salt.
  7. Cook till both dosakaya and totakura becomes soft. Not too soft.
  8. Finally add 1 tbsp of kasuri menthi powder and mix well and cook 2 more minutes.
  9. Switch of the stove.

Transfer into a bowl. Pullakura is ready to eat and serve. The aroma of hing and kasuri menthi fills your kitchen. It goes well with rice and roti also.
