Dondakaya Pachadi


This chutney  is prepared with fresh dondakayalu. Easy preparation. Takes very little time and is very tasty. Normally in Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu most of the families take their  lunch or dinner with  any of chutney as the first item. Try this yummy yummy chutney.

Ingredients
  • Dondakayalu                        1/4 kg
  • green mirchi                          6
  • Fresh lemon                          1
  • Til powder                           2 to 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Popu    
  • Oil                                        1/2 tbsp
  • Musterd seeds                      1/8 tbsp
  • udal dal                                 1/8 tbsp
  • dry red chilli                          2 make into pieces
  • curry leaves
How to prepare
  1. Wash dondakayalu and  green chllies cut into very small pieces. Keep aside in a bowl.
  2. Add the lemon juice , tIil powder and salt to it. Stir well.
  3. Then make sesoning with mustard seeds, urad dal , dry red chilli pieces and curry leaves and again mix it well
  4. Serve with rice or curd rice. By adding  til powder it will be tasty and gives texture to mix into rice.
