TAWA IDLI

Today I am going to  introduce amazing, yummy and lip snacking snack item TAWA IDLI .  There are many ways to utilize left over idlis. Normally we made upma out of left over idlis by adding chopped onion, mirchi etc. This tawa idli is too tempting recipe.You can have it for your snack item also. My grandson likes this relaxed breakfast of idli with coconut chutney. I love this cool idea of making snack item with idlis.

Let us go to procedure .

INGREDIENTS
  • Left over idlis
  • Molaga podi/ idli podi
  • Ghee

HOW TO PREPARE

  1. Take thick flat pan.
  2. Heat it on a medium flame.
  3. Spread ghee on pan.
  4. Place idlis on the pan. Again add little ghee.
  5. Roast them both sides until it is crunch on the out side.
  6. Take folk. Make cuts on the top of the idlis.
  7. Sprinkle molaga podi on it.
  8. Switch off the stove.
  9. Tawa idli is ready to eat. This is aromatic way to eat idli.

Serve garam garam with a cup of masala tea. Very tempting.

NOTE

For preparation of molaga podi/idli podi, refer my blog Kusuma,s Abhiruchi.
You can made idli as cubes also and the preparation is same.
You can prepare tawa idli not only with left over idlis for change you can prepare with fresh idlis also.
