Stuffed Potlakaya Masala

Today I am interested in showing the traditional vegetable i.e. Potlakaya /snake gaurd masala curry. Normally we prepare kootu, fry, curd chutney and pulusu etc. with potlakaya. Try this stuffed potlakaya masala curry. It takes little time  for preparation and tastes yummy yummy. Try at once by yourself and see the taste.

Ingredients
  • Fresh snake goard                                               1 medium
  • Onions                                                                      3 medium finely chopped
  • Dry coconut powder                                            1/8 cup
  • Garlic                                                                        10 flakes
  • Red mirchi powder                                              1 1/2 tbsp
  • Dhaniya seeds                                                        1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds
  • Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste                                                               
  • Oil



How to prepare
  1. Wash potlakaya well.
  2. Make it into 1 1/2 " length pieces.
  3. Cut them horizentlly and vertically from the top keeping intact at the bottom.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. Meantime  grind dry coconut powder, garlic flacks, red mirchi powder, dhaniya  into powder.
  6. Transfer the masala into bowl.
  7. Mix chopped onion, salt and curry leaves into above masala.
  8. Stuff the masala into each of the potlakaya piece.
  9. Keep aside.
  10. Take curry pan, add oil, heat it.
  11. Add mustard seeds. Allow it to pop.
  12. Then arrange stuffed potlakaya pieces into it. 
  13. Cover with lid.
  14. Let it cook for 10 to 12 minutes till potlakaya pieces becomes soften.
  15. See the taste.


It goes well with rice and roti.

Note

If you want, you can add tomato also.
